Did a morning hunt today and got down around nine. Started to leave to walk through the field and there is a
doe bedded down. I was able to put down my climber, get my release out of my pack and sneek up to about 25yrds. Got her to stand up and let the arrow go. She ducked and the arrow went over her back by like an inch...was pissed. She ran about 30 yrds or so and stood there not knowing what happend and walked in the woodline. She started to blow at me for a few and then walked off. I stayed looking for my arrow for about 15 minutes and 20yrds from where she was bedded down was three more doe. Watching me the whole time and I didn't even notice. So no deer, no arrow...So besides that was wondering if I ruined the bedding area for good or should I return in four or five days and set up on that field??? All the doe had a hard time seeing me because the sun was in their eyes. The three that stayed got up and just trotted off and didn't seem scared.

Behind my firing range at work, we have walked, rode atvs/utvs, disposed of timber and rock, etc. The deer continue to bed down.

Doe walked right up to my buddy's blind and snorted at him. He could have stabbed her with an arrow she was so close.

Point is, give it a few days and check it out. Not all deer are the same, so i bet at least 1 of the 4 come back
