So my brothers grand daughter is like 13 or 14. She's been into horses since she could walk, as is her mother. Her mom has played with trotters at Vernon Downs and in Florida for years. My brother was paying for lessons for her since grade school. LOL

Anyway, so the grand daughter went to some big State event out near Buffalo a couple weeks ago. Won a first and third in a couple events. So she goes this weekend to regionals or something like that in New Jersey. Well in one of her better events she draws this horse that has been a slug all day. You draw numbers to see what horse you'll be riding. SO her mom(the horse girl and instructor for many) says, when you first get on her.... give her a good pop with your crop. It'll wake her up and get her attention. So the girl climbs aboard, starts to warm up and old slug is being sluggish. So Matty gives her the pop. The horse straightens right out and finishes the ride in good shape.

One of hte honchos for the event there in disqualifies this middle school girl for "Use of Excessive Force". You got to be kidding me. She gave the horse one pop with a crop. When my brother called me and told me I told him the witch probably had a kid riding in the same event. LOL

She was penalized because she wasn't participating in the Kentucky Derby. Which we know they never give the horse the crop.

Gotta love how society Is these days. You can't look at a kid wrong or give someones mut hell without getting your butt sued. Pretty sad.
