I shot a really nice doe last night in McHenry County, IL. I was hunting off an edge of a very thick bedding area. This big doe came in so fast it felt like a deer drive like during shotgun season. The doe stop literally almost right underneath me for an 8 yd shot. Again with the crossbow I was able to manuever and make a fairly quick shot without a ton of movement or drawing a bow back. Late season crossbow hunting is great! Shot 3 deer with the Excalibur from Dec.22-Jan13th. I tagged out on Bucks on Dec.22 post on this forum of pic. The new law I think will help get more hunters out there late season, I know I will go more often with no hesitation. I am out of tags and done for this deer season what a way to go out!
