Can't people just man up and vote with their darn brain instead of "having" to vote for a specific party? And I am not talking about black people, I am talking about all people. For example many rich persons think they have to vote Republican because of the social stigma attached by their close friends and business associates if they didn't vote Republican. Or how about certain groups of people voting for Republicans and being labelled a "sell out"? I am so sick of racial statistics, racial studies, affirmative action, people looking down their noses at certain racial minorities, and the continual moronic tendencies many people have when it comes to all that is involved in this thing we call RACE. I mean, what in the heck is race? You know how much interbreeding people have done over the years or that 99.99999999% of us all came from the original seven mega communities in Europe and Africa? What does that mean? We are all friggin related and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Anyone who votes straight down a party line only because they are registered with that party is not very intelligent. Every American citizen, regardless of race, creed, color, sex.... has the responsibillity to vote for the person they feel can best help Americans. If you don't do your research before voting, you have no right to say a dang thing about what happens in this country. If you don't think any of the candidates are qualified to do a good job, which seems to be the norm anymore, then you have the responsibility to yourself and your country to vote for the one who is the least evil in your opinion. There, I envoked my right to freedom of speech and said pretty darn close to what I wanted to say.
The race issue is just race baiting by the Democrats, it more about classes. If a white redneck dressed in camo is sitting on a train lets say, that's been broke down for a few hours and he's got nowhere to go and across from him sits a white guy in a three piece suit, a white surfer dude and a black guy also in camo. Who do you think the redneck is going to talk to? One of the white guy that look like they have nothing in common with or the black guy in the camo? It's really that simple people. Don't believe all the hype Big Media feed you. Remember they are not your friends they are out for your money. As far on who to vote for it's simple. Do you believe any government officials really have your best interest or are they really just looking out for themselves and their jobs? Think of anything any government does better than private industry. Bottom line, the less they do for you the better off we'll be. Democrats want to give you a fish to feed you for the day so you'll need them and come back to them tomorrow for another. Republican want to give you a fishing pole to take care of yourself and pay taxes to keep this country going. IMO
I think it a very good point. Always amazed me how the Dems can play people issues making them think washington cares more about them than they do themselves.
I wrote and article once called Through the Eyes of a Black Republican: "Why I Follow. "If you ever want to read it, just ask. Being a Life Long Republican has ALWAYS brought me jeers from my family, friends and most Black people. Strange thing is a I make more money than almost all of them. Go figure! When questioned I always pose this scenario to people when asked why I am a Republican. I say, Ask the average black person why they like a certain athlete, team or entertainer and they can give you a million reasons. Ask them why they are Democrats and they will normally say one of two things: they are for black people or they look out for us. I then say, have you ever heard of a Dixiecrat?Dead Silence! I then go on to say, Before FDR, 90+% of black people were Republicans. Main reason is since the days of Lincoln, Republicans were mostly Northerners/Abolitionists. They pushed for the abolition of slavery and eventually succeeded in getting it done. After the Civil War, Southern White Democrats or "Dixiecrats" started instituting Jim Crow Laws to prohibit black people from being able to vote, run for public office and do other things related to politics. The very ones that fought tooth and nail to uphold slavery, segregation and prevent us from voting through terrorist acts, now all of a sudden are for us as a people? If it wasn't for Republicans choosing to fight for equality, black people would not have made the advancements they have. I sum up the two parties like this. Democrats want the government to have control and take care of you. Republicans want you to work, contribute and carry your own weight. Yes there should be aide there for someone, but only due to death, famine or disaster. It is there to help you back on your feet. Not to live off of at someone else's expense. Thanks for posting. I am in my senior year at a VERY liberal college and you said it best! If I want stats on LeBron James or Adrian Peterson, the majority of black males will know a remarkable amount. When I try and discuss politics, they are completely unaware. And of course this phenomena goes way outside the black community. Too many people in my generation are more concerned about Jersey Shore than whats going on in Washington, and they would rather be hand fed every day than work for their own sustinence. You have my utmost respect for standing firm in your beliefs in the midst of people around you who disagree.
Well hell, I just figured that since Republicans have been in the White House 28 out of the last 51 years and only made 24 of the 66 million private sector jobs created, that black people were just smarter than white people. Everything the government does, "everything" reflects on jobs in one way or another. I'll vote for the party that includes Jobs in their decision making process.
Democrats have done very well over the last 60 years creating a dependent class out of black Americans. Don't for a minute thing that wasn't planned and orchestrated from the start. Honestly I can't understand why black Americans were not and are not offended by the premise that it was build and sustained on. The premise was that blacks in America wouldn't and could not succeed without government assistance and intervention. Unfortunately it seems black Americans took the bait hook line and sinker...and to add insult to injury men like Sharpton, and Jackson among others understood the premise very well and choose to exploit and profit from it. A party that really cared and respected black Americans would have articulated a very different message. They would have stayed out of the way and had faith that blacks would thrive and prosper though hard work, overcoming obstacles and allowing their achievements to be celebrated as their own. We all know that didn't happen....

No I don't have any close black friends. But that doesnt change the fact that the Democratic Party have taken black votes for the last 60 years while laughing all the way to the bank.
