Very interesting. I have been a fan of Slick Tricks for many years, my only complaint being the price point for broadheads with replaceable blades. I may have to place an order in the future. I wish I had heard of these before dropping $50 on broadheads at the local proshop last weekend.
Can you confirm where these are made? Someone said you mentioned that you imported them from Germany?
Can you confirm which bit head and size you are using. I have a small precision set but they seem to be too big still. Torx or Allen??
wonder what it would take for him to make the tip to be a 'tanto' type, similar to the redesigned Razor Trick before they were discontinued .. ... I purchased something similar to this a few years back, but it has only one screw (?) ... I'm still using 100gr RazorTricks and will be this season along with Black Hornets, I have extra blades for the Razortricks and still have 9 new heads left in the packages ... these do look interesting .. BTW, the Razor Tricks are 1 1/8" x 7/8" ... I like the full 1 1/8" on this new BH ... addendum : I went and looked at the ones I have, and they DO have TWO screws, not one ... when did these Exact heads first come out? .. I think I got the ones I have 2-3 years back, just shot 'em into foam, never hunted with 'em .. I wonder if the ones I have are the Exact's (?) ..
Well for 45$ I was able to purchase 6 broadheads. 2 to practice with and 4 to hunt with. I love the tota’s but if I want dedicated practice heads it costs me 90$ to achieve that. So 45$vs90$ is a big value. So it’s worth the try to see if I like them next to the tota’s which are fantastic broadheads. Slick-tricks and most all of the other big names are in the same area as price. So exact opens up a different option.
The bit head is small because I he screw has no flange. It should be very strong with two screws for retention, equally on both sides. Couple that with the extra short steel ferule and have head that has potential to hold well. Pretty cool head. Since I was always a razor Trick fan despite its short comings, this head floats my boat
other than Lusk, who has the Exacts now and has shot them .. cant remember what brand name these even were (Exacts?)... you can see just how rough the edges were ... but, they cut paper very easily ... addendum : I went and looked at the ones I have, and they DO have TWO screws, not one ... when did these Exact heads first come out? .. As far as in know they just came out. The screws on those pictures look different. Anyway they shoot very well. At 75 yards I was impressed. I had significantly higher hit ratio then QADs, they shoot as good a slick trick mags. The edges cut paper easy from the factory. However they really need a good stropping to smooth them down. I did 10 passed on each side with green compound, on bit a corse and smooth strop. They were like mirrors. I was also pretty impressed with how sharp they were after bunch of shots into foam. Not top tier but not bad either. Value wise I don’t think there is better fixed head on the market. I do think you can find a better head but your going to pay for it
I just may get two packs and try 'em for the season, of the two BH's I have left, one is missing a screw and I just now shot the other 10 times, 5 at 20yds, 5 at 30, the 'one' I shot flew great into the 3d deer .. btw, after a little research, the heads I have are from Sanford Broadheads, I bought direct back then, now a Amazon head ..
how are you stropping these ? .. pics if poss. .. I am lousy at sharpening .. thats is why I like replaceable blades i guess ..
2 packs on the way ... Ive spent more on worse ...... also a StaySharp clamp/guide for replaceable heads .. need to find some white stick compound, the cereal box I already have ;0)
just the compound and cardboard didnt work, the factory cut/grooves are to deep and rough ... sharp, yes, but rough .. soooo, I started the whole process from scratch ... 1st came 250 grit- a must for those damn grooves, then 400, 600, 800, 1500, 2500, THEN the buffing ... took time, but its much better, and shaves hair .. did I say it took time .. I'll do another when I get time, a lot of time ..
I loved Slick Tricks so these have my interest. Unfortunately I'm dumb as a stump and I missed seeing the website y'all are ordering these from.
