Every year I get the same speech from my family who hunts are land. They tell me we are shooting does, we are waiting for a wall hanger. Opening days comes and i am loading up 2 little bucks and no does.:D I have said it once and I firmly believe this for hunting in general. A lot of hunters are just desperate to kill a deer. Gun, Bow or sling shot it does not matter to them. It's our own group that has caused this, with the pressure of shooting a deer, I myself have fallen victim to this disease, I am not immune at all. Desperate men will do anything, I have seen some weird stuff here in MI over the years, LOL
Germ... you see weird stuff on a daily basis all year long and it doesn't have to be rifle hutners !! LOL If you want to wreck the day of most of rifle hunters here and put them in a panic... just mention you've seen the warden floating around. LOL I love starting that rumor !! When you do see a warden floating around... you see a lot less road hunters in that area and you don't see very many big groups putting drives on. Apparently there are a lot of desperate rifle hunters in my area that are now desperately hunting another area. Tim
Actually that does usually work pretty good. We had a guy that shared the land we hunt on with is but he only hunted gun season. To make a long story short he's a poaching scumbag. Ran into him on the road leaving one day and making small talk told him I've seen the Warden cruising by the last couple days.... must be looking for something. He looked like a deer caught in headlights. Said he had to go and almost left in a panic lol. Didn't see his truck for about a week.
