I hung a stand on my Buddy's property line as directed. This spot is in the woods 15 yards from the corn field. I cleared a shooting lane because I always see deer in that field, sometimes at 20-25 yards. I'm allowed to shoot into the field but I need to get the deer either closer or at least stopped in the narrow lane.
I'm thinking Evercalm on a stick thrown to the opening of that lane which is about 25 yards from my stand.

    Thoughts?

    Safe hunts Y'all.

I have used Evercalm twice. First time a doe and button buck walked to it and would not leave. They kept licking it. The second time a young 7pt walked right to it and sniffed it, then walked away. I haven't heard many stories of it working for mature deer but it seems to work.

Are you putting the stick up at your stand? Like the deer were licking the scent deodorant stick stuff?

I used the stick and just smeared it on a sapling 15 yards or so from my stand. They were licking the deodorant stuff. I was worried I would get accused of baiting so I didn't shoot the doe LOL.

I plan on smearing it on a branch so if any deer walk past they might hesitate long enough for me to stick'em.

Some deer urine would work as well.

I tried this deodorant but my wife didn't care for the pungent smell.

I have used the Conquest Evercalm and it works great. Put some of that out. Def will do the trick.

Just don't do what a friend of mine did and rubbed the stick on his clothes. He rubbed it in his sleeves and his pants. Uhhhhh. Some people just need everything to be explained to them.

Glad I'm not the only one who has done this. I got in my jeep and thought I had busted the bottle of doe pee in my pack. Realized what happened when I went to use the evercalm.

I use em a lot. spread it on your foot print, two trees around your stand. once ur up on the tree spreand it on your foot print again if the ground is wet, and scrape the tops off and throw it to the ground. they work I guarantee it

Do you reapply the EverCalm every time you go out?

So for example, I am going out tonight after work and going to use it. I will be going back out in the morning and the rest of the weekend as long as nothing comes up. How often would you smear a bit on something?

The scent will typically stay there through light weather and rain but I find the smell starts to disappear quite a bit after a day or so. Since there's so much of it, just reapply.

I put some on my boots every trip into stand. The fresher scent makes it like its more recent that other deer have been through there. It doesn't take a lot on your boots though. A little goes a long way

I do the same thing on my boots.
I also tag some trees on my way in with a little dab

I just got a brilliant idea. They should make a reflective Evercalm in addition to the regular Evercalm so you can mark trees and it can double as a marker to help you find your stand in the dark (or hike out).
