So do your buisness in a jug, add some imitation vanila extract and distilled water? Or does it have to be amonia?

I tried it last weekend on an evening hunt for the first time, didn't see much but the next morning in the dark out of the exact spot I jumped at least four deer in the dark, for me the jury is still out but looking good.

I use the Vanilla every hunt, but have never used the amonia blend above, trying to get my son on some deer, so may just mix some up and try it!!

Does the extract with Alchohol in it have any affect? I just picked up some and it has 13% alchohol in it. Kinda curious if that will turn the deer off.

I had put some imitation vanilla extract in my Scent-A-Way fresh earth cover scent spray bottle. The little buck I killed this weekend wasn't sure what he was smelling when he was downwind, but he didn't take off running (well, until after he had an arrow in him).

I imagine the only thing it affects is your wallet since it's more expensive. I prefer the imitation vanilla due to cost, as hoosier daddy has said.

According to DNR if you dispense it in order to attract deer and is consumed/licked/ate by the deer it is illegal. The ridiculous part even minerals poured out in spring are illegal and the ground around them shouldn't be hunted over. I do see where you're coming from though...:D

i had my wife pick me up some tonight. I'm going to use it on a scent wick as a cover scent near my stand this weekend. She thought I wanted her to bake something, so I told her I wanted cookies....

I've tried it out this year and have had mixed results. Meaning yes, some deer have come off the beatin path to my trail cam and in other areas deer sightings picked up, but this lasted only for a little while until the sent wore out. I'm also positive it did not bring in every deer in the area. There's no way I'm only hunting three little does this year or I quit.
