This was one of my worst hunts I was ever on. This video is 2 years old now but got a lot of views because it turned into a debate. The background to the story is me and a few buddies set up on the ground in the afternoon (wisconsin) and waited for some toms. I eventually fell asleep and woke up to my buddy tapping me saying "2 toms, 2 toms, get ready". Within 15 seconds of me waking up, I shot this bird 3 times... I'm not proud of it, but I got him cooked up and ate. The other guy shooting ended up cranking through shells, missing the broad side of a barn... I don't know how to explain that either.... Here's the video, it happens towards the end.
Did it a bunch, had an Appalachian Turkey dog for 14 years and we could kill a bunch of fall birds every season. We shot quite a few on the wing.
