And then have your wife decide she doesn't like the color? In all honesty.......it wasn't just the wife, I also think the color is pretty hideous. :D Guess I know what I'll be doing next weekend.............
YES----ughhhh. My daughter's room currently sits between a nice shade of pink, blue, and some white spots. She loves it..NOT.
Sounds like you gave into the wife. No man thinks any color is hideous unless he is talking about different shades of camo.
Yep. Painted my kitchen before Thanksgiving and about a week later I couldn't stand it. Waited until the holidays were over, then repainted the entire thing. MUCH better now, despite the wasted time and money on the first go-around. Live and learn I guess!
I will do alot of things around the house, painting ain't one of them. She won't let me so it's a good arrangement.
X2. I do the remodeling, she and her friends do the painting. We are hanging drywall today finally in the family room remodel, and it will be ready for paint soon. I will probably help with the big areas, but cutting the edges is ALL her As for the colors, she picked those, too. They're good colors, though, what do I know?:D
Nope. But my dad decided he wanted to paint their bedroom while my mom was away for work. So, he brought a sample to HD, got it "Color Matched" then asked me to paint... Things I learned... 1) Don't trust the flunky in the Paint dept. at HD to do any sort of "Color matching" 2) Mom's don't like the color men pick. 3) Brown paint, changes color when it dries... 4) Behr Paint, will cover any color. No primer needed. 5) My wife can not paint rooms, walls, or anything like that. She can stick to canvas... 6) I HATE PAINTING>>> Not so color matched...
I painted the outside of my house and when I was done the wife didn't like the color of the trim. She couldn't have said anything on the first window I spent anther weekend redoing all the trim.
You got that right Ben!! I won't touch a brush In the house either, can't stand painting!! 3 years ago (right before my daughter was born) Jenny wanted to paint the house and give It a new look being we had a little one coming soon. Her and my mother painted like a storm, turned out good too.
When I had to paint, I bought a spiffy paint sprayer that sucked paint of out 5 gallon buckets. White walls, white ceilings, white trim.... not too creative but I like to think I have better things to do than paint and worry about the colors of the walls.
I have three sample spots of colors in my bedroom. Two years later and the wife still hasn't decided on what color, I would love to at least have the walls covered in paint I don't like
