    1 more day at work then 4 off. Only problem with that is, I had to trade with someone a 8 hr shift for a 12 hr shift to be able to get the 4 days off....and it's supposed to rain Saturday.....just my luck...

    Took off from work this morning to take my daughter turkey hunting and by 0700 we were done!! This is her first turkey! 20lbs., 9 3/4" beard, 1" spurs!!

    Be set up for about 30 mins. Haven't heard a gobble yet. Got a little bit of wind and rain and temps are a little low.... Not ideal bird hunting conditions but we will make do. Got a 1st time hunter with me toting a boom stick, he gets first crack at a bird. Got my bow with me just in case we get a chance at a double up...

    I think our youth day was today but I gave up on all the rules and special hunt days in PA. finally one more week til our opener!!!

    Had a hen mosey by a few mins ago. She was a tight lipped bit*h, didn't want to talk and didn't bring her boyfriend with her.

    Hunted yesterday morning but couldn't get any Toms to commit. Did call in a hen and two jakes and they tried to put on a show. Now I have a week before I can hunt again. Good luck to all of you this week!!

    was shed hunting to day and took my new calls with. I decided to give a call for the heck of it and had a gobbler come in within 80yds just out of sight so I quickly backed out before he busted me. looking good for next Saturday our opener. did find a match set of sheds.

    My new bow is FINALLY arriving tomorrow so I will get back after it this weekend. I took a buddy out last weekend who was in town visiting a mutual friend and we had an awesome morning. The birds were going CRAZY. Most of the big boys were busy with hens across the road gobbling their fools heads off. Finally after two hours of dealing with jakes in our face and the big boys refusing to enter the foodplot I let him hammer a jake. Turned out to be a double beard ;( dangit. Fun hunt though.

    got my bow back from the shop. sighted in and ready to go! seen tons of turkey sign today while shed hunting. should be a good season.
