At some point I had about 5200 'friends' and had to delete a couple hundred so that I could add a couple of people I actually knew. Heh. I have all my settings as public. I'm 'friends' with family, real friends, my work, neighbors.... and a whole bunch of people I've never met and never will... I don't post anything that I wouldn't say right in front of my co-workers, family, neighbors and friends (real and fake) . I'm either brutally honest and don't give a rat's rear-end what anyone thinks.... or I'm just not that offensive. I do block or unfriend people who are constantly posting drama/negativity/soft porn. I have about about 150 people I haven't accepted as friends because they're from overseas.. and I already have a few hundred 'friends' from overseas. They're all hunting related, and it's cool to see what people are hunting in Spain, Pakistan, Egypt, South America, Africa,Australia... but enough is enough. I do give out likes to the pages of just about anybody who asks. I figure, at this point, why be stingy. :D Now, I have to see if Matt unfriended me.
I never could understand the fascination people had with facebook. I don't want people to know what I'm doing and I don't give a s**t what anybody else is doing. To each their own I guess...
I like the marketing part of facebook. I track more things that way than I do people. I've not really de-friended anyone but had hid a lot from my feed cause i dont care to see their constant drivel. I am only friends with one person I work with. There are others who if one of us left the company I would friend them, but I see no need to do so while we work together.
I usually do an annual cleanse, but lately I've just been deleting their feeds. Though I sense a day of reckoning quickly approaching.
I have unfriended many people. Thought about getting rid of my account all together, but I do enjoy seeing some of the posts from people on here, and it is much easier to follow bands, companies and get fantasy baseball news through
i unfriended a bunch. i'll do it every now and then to weed out people who don't actually keep in touch.
I wasn't on it much to begin with , I only had about 50 friends which were mostly family, and such. But then it was taking up so much time to keep up with it, I emailed everybody and said enough is enough, I'm defriending everybody, no offense to anyone and they understood. I only have one friend on facebook and that is my daughter.
The more people to get into my debates...the better. I have noticed a few people delete me though LOL. I will delete you if you are a guy who keeps posting selfless though. There is nothing more satisfying then people trying to re-friend you after you delete them
There is this one guy that posts freeking Packer pictures all the time...I was thinking of dumping that sucker ... :p
I am going to have to block my wife from face book. She took over my face book and won't get her own. It messes with people because they don't know if it is me posting or her. I usually don't post very much. It usually is just to make a smart *** remark to one of my friends when they post something funny and interesting. Trust me when I say... I am not the one commenting on how pretty something looks, any comment that ends in love you. or feel awful when you had a bad day because stubbed your toe. She goes on to play games and see if the kids or family post anything. She is pretty harmless and I don't mind it but... Now her side knows she is on mine so they send friend request to me. I don't really care for many of them but we wouldn't want to hurt their feelings... so I am told. If there is going to be a cull... it will be her side. I am friends with my boss on face book and give him a lot of grief on face book. I am not too worried about offending him. I've worked for him for 25 years now. Tim
