Your fingers together while making arrows?

I must have made well over a thousand arrows between my own, for friends, and while working at the shop for a couple of years, and can't say I've ever glued my fingers together while making arrows. I've gotten glue on my fingers, but never glued them together till tonight............:o.

So I typically use Super Glue Gel on my arrow points, because I haven't found anything cheaper that works better on keeping points in the arrows while shooting at bag targets. Tonight while halfway through a fresh bundle of Pro 22's that I'm planning to shoot at Harrisburg next weekend, I managed to completely stick my index finger and thumb together while wiping excess glue off an arrow. It was so bad, that I wasn't able to get a acetone soaked q-tip in there to seperate them, so I had to cut them apart with a razor blade......I'm guessing it will be a few weeks before I have normal looking finger prints on those fingers again, and now they are really sore and tender.

So am I the only one? If not, come clean and share your story..........:D

When we get busy in the shop we will sometimes have someone in back just to cut arrows. When its you, you can't feel anything through all the glue for a week! Ive glued my fingers together so many times it's not funny, and ruined a few pairs of jeans too.

I once paid a co worker 2 dollars to glue his thumb to his hairy forearm. Totally worth it. Needless to say, the price to see that has gone dramatically up.

I never glued them together to the point I had to cut them apart, but I did stick them together a few times.

However, now that I grew a brain and started using Quifletches I'll never have that problem again. :D

Sometimes when I have nowhere to go on a Friday night I glue them together for fun.

Nope, never done that, kinda funny! LOL! Not a big fan of the super glue on my arrows! It doesn't hold up for me, Gorilla glue is the ticket!

No doubt if I used the Super Glue I would get in trouble.

Yes, I've done that before. GregH brings up a great and hilarious point.

Ah, what's with the bowling shoes?

Been close to almost cementing them.

Speaking of cement and no fingerprints plus sore! Don't use your fingers to grout concrete between mountain stone!
