Yup, strange stuff goes on in some places. I had to see a doctor one time about selling her house. She said, come here go there, turn left. You'll come to a big double door that says "Positively No Admittance.... Hospital Staff Only". She told me to ignore it and walk in. This is a very big research hospital. I found her laboring over her research. On the table was a dog, obviously knocked out, with the top of his skull removed.. Inserted in the beagles brain there must have been 3 or 4 hundred tiny wires all hooked up to monitors. Now what do you suppose that was all about? Freaky to say the least. The doc signed the papers and I left. I still think of that dog many years down the road.
If the AED saved his life, his heart was quivering, not flatlined, so not technically dead But CPR is almost like a miracle. If you do it succesfully it will probably be one of the greatest moments of your life.
Siman, I "witnessed" my neighbor fall over from a heart attack when I was around 19. I did not know CPR. I yelled for my father who then began CPR within 45 seconds or so. The guy never made it. I felt helpless. Since then I have learned CPR, including infant CPR.
Your dad did the best that he could in that situation. Nothing is ever a sure thing. They should teach CPR in school IMO.
I believe I came across one the other day, unfortunately. I was on my way home from work Friday morning (nightshift). I turn down a street (its a shortcut) through a residential neighborhood. I come up on a line of cars that are stopped with a school bus in front of the pack, all with hazard lights on. I decided to turn around so I could get home to bed and as I was turning around, I see a little figure (presumably a child) laying in the road with firefighters all around him/her. I believe he/she was struck by a vehicle but I'm unsure. There hasn't been anything on the local news about it so I can't confirm what really happened. I decided to drive that same way home the next morning and came to the spot. There appears to be a large pool of blood in the road where I saw the person laying. Remnants of flares are still on the sides of the road everywhere too. I hate to think the worst but I wonder if this child survived. I'm also curious as to why I haven't seen a thing about this on the news.
A man driving a car erratically though our small town hit me head on many years ago, I was driving a 3/4 ton Chevy truck and when I got out I was met by an hysterical man whom was trying to get his quite dead 12 year old son to the hospital. The boy had a very small purple hole through his eye brow where he had accidentally shot him self with a 22 revolver while checking traps early that morning. It was as sad as anything I've ever whitnessed.
duck hunting with a guy and his dog kept digging and found a leg. called 911 and they county sheriff brought their boat and we had to wait there for several hours should've never called 911 and just ignored the whole thing. took too long cause we found the leg in a river that was also a county line and the tow counties, yamhill and marion argueed over who had to go look at it. lol
