Here the coyotes eat my sweet corn. When the sweet corn is gone, they eat the apples. Weirdly, the don't seem to eat the 9 zillion cottontails that infest the garden, nor (thankfully) do they attempt to eat any chickens. At least not yet. Weirdo coyotes.
IMO they are after only apples, a buddy of mine has chickens and watched a coyote eating apples under the tree while the chickens were scratching around only a couple of yards away. He said it didn't pay any attention to them. After seeing that he started looking around and found lots of yote crap filled w/ apple peels!!!
