Not sure if this is the right spot.

What is the normal time for a European mount at a taxidermist? The one I went to quoted 3 months.

    Just wondering

depends on how they do it and the backlog. 3 months is a decent turn around. It could have done in a day if you do it yourself. Beetles do a really good job but take a little longer.

Also they are preserving the velvet so that might add to it

It had some damage to the velvet so I told them if they can't preserve it that it was okay. Place does good work so I know they'll try. I have been doing research and think I like mounts with velvet vs not.

The one I had done last year was back in 3 weeks. It was a bug job came out pretty nice. With velvet, I would assume a couple months but, thats just a guess.
