I finished my euro mount last night finally.

When I brought it in from the garage the first thing I heard was "why did you use that crappy looking wood?"

When I decided to do a euro mount I knew I wanting old barn siding for the platform. Well I found the perfect piece for free and it turned out like I had envisioned.

Do you think the barn siding was a good choice?

If that was your vision on what is was supposed to look like, then that is all that matters. Great buck and good work on the euro mount.

Sweet looking, I love euro mounts. How long did it take you? Here's one of mine that I got back in 08. Took me 3 months to finish it.

    Thanks fellas. :tu:

About 2 hours of boiling, 2 weeks of maceration, little pressure washer time and a few days with peroxide paste soaking on it.

If I ever do it again I'm getting beetles.
