4 people on 100 acres is 3 too many in my opinion. I've walked away from many properties because of that. There's way too much dirt out there to fight over 100 acres

Short answer... Give him the pics and thank him daily... Never forget, every time you hunt there it is due to his grace.

65 acres is definitely not enough for 4 guys--- I also find leasing land with a group always leads to some sort of trouble-and jealousy !!ALWAYS--sooner or later someone will get jealous as to a spot chosen that works out great with monster bucks sightings and kills while others sit seeing twinkies or not much of anything

    Okay....I need a clear answer:

"Were you aware of the fact when invited out to hunt the property that a portion of it you would not be allowed to hunt?"

IF YES, suck it up or move on.

IF NO, you know now and your choices are suck it up or move on. You are not the reason you have the ability to hunt any portion of the property.

Would I show the pictures, yes.

The deer need to move to get in and out of his reserved "best area". Find out where they are moving to and from and setup between .

If you don't think its fair that a guy invited you to hunt on his spot with some stipulations, then you need to move on. Instead of being thrilled to have another location to hunt, you are butthurt that he is taking the good spot. Sorry, but that is what you describe and its pure jealousy. Your measure of "fair" is selfish at best.

wow tough crowd here....to be honest, if anyones being a bit selfish its the dude who says you can hunt this lease (but just not this area, that's mine) by the sounds of it it's not his personal property or land so to be honest all he did was simply ask for permission and it was granted...sounds as if this guy thinks more highly of himself then he ought too imho. Seriously, ppl like this guy your never going to change, and frankly he's the type and norm in the Hunting world lately, think only of themselves....if I were the OP I'd cut ties and say bye bye and find other places to hunt, weather it's Public or even pounding the pavement and asking for permission of your own on Private Land

Whichever side of the fence you fall on in this matter, that's still the best option for everyone involved.

I have to disagree. The guy was generous enough to offer to allow someone else to hunt on part of a property that he controlled permission on. That is far from selfish. If he was thinking only of himself, he wouldn't give other guys the opportunity to hunt there at all. It's absurd to call the guy that controlled permission selfish. He provided some friends an opportunity to hunt some private ground and now they want the run of the place when he is not around. That is the very definition of selfish.

By your way of thinking, I should give my house guests my bedroom because its the best one in the house, or risk being called selfish. Insane.

Exactly. Apparently the only thing "fair" to some folks is being entitled to everything that everyone else has. Time for some snowflakes to melt and grow the ---- up. Fair does not mean equal. Go get your own and stop riding coat-tails. The "something for nothing" mentality just drives me insane.

A few years ago I got permission to hunt about 25 acres of private land about an hour from my house. I immediately asked if my friend could join me in hunting the place. I am told that is fine. I then call my friend and tell him about it and he is thrilled because he is a new hunter and has no private land to hunt. This is a place where if I limited the pressure I think I could kill a decent buck every year or two. Nope....told my friend he can hunt wherever and whenever on the property. He routinely hunts there about 4 to 1 to me. I might get out there two to three times a year. I could care less about my personal hunting success in that situation. Ive been hunting for 25 years now on 99% public lands and I just don't care about holding someone back who just wants to hunt without restrictions.

I guess its all relative to the property, I hunt a 150 acre farm with about 5 other serious bowhunters and during gun season there can be upwards of a dozen hunters sitting at any time. We kill deer consistently and take 1-2 decent bucks a year. So at least where I hunt, 100 acres is more than enough for 4 hunters.

if he knew the camera was there I'd show just him the photos and say "there are a couple nice bucks in your area, good luck," If he didn't know it was there I wouldn't show anyone.
