With the research I have done and from what the pilot program manager has told me, I am expecting somewhere between $1,600 to $1,800 per acre. Plus the added benefits of soil remediation and nitrogen fixing. Just another great crop in rotation. As far as the jazz cabbage. I would expect an acre to produce.. 9 square feet per plant would allow you to plant 4,840 plants, so realistically 2000 plants well pruned for maximum growth could yield around 3 pounds per plant giving you around 6000 pounds fresh harvest and maybe 2500 pounds dried weight. I would lease for $13.60 per pound dried and clear a smooth $34,000.
In legal markets it's around $30 per quarter ounce and $80 per ounce. At least it was during our last trip to Colorado.
Funny I read an article a while back that said the black market was booming in Colorado because of the expense of legal because of the taxes on it. With the prices you quoted that simply is not true.
I will be perfectly honest, I went a little buck wild during that trip.. I bought half an ounce of two varieties, a pre-rolled joint, two boxes of edibles and a CBD oil w/thc and only spent $108. Three days into the trip we were tired of smoking, way too strong of stuff, and gave away our weed to some guys at the lodge. The edibles and oil were awesome and if I was more of a recreational user that is the route I would take.
I have tried the vape oil I was told it was the mellow variety that was for pain and anxiety, it seemed ok I mean I wasn't all baked.
The fact they are willing to pay 40% above makes me question a lot. Do you really want to build that relationship that is filled with doubt to begin with?
The good stuff will always vary in price. I've paid $100 for an oz and I've also paid $250...just depends on quality and location. I think the "black market" will always outshine the legal stuff.
In case you want to know, Raymon James will not let you buy weed stocks. It's against their Ethics policy.
I've heard that The illegal street value of primo, medical-grade strains in my area are $300 + an ounce.
Last time I grew...uurrrr...I mean, I know of someone growing a crop, lol. It was going for $1,200 a pound (that was over 20 years ago) and it produced around 6-8oz per plant with little effort. If I were to go that route, I would just do it myself....AND keep it far away from my land in doing so, lol. For outdoor grows, plant in a low spot that gets plenty of moisture but drains well to prevent root-rot, neutralize the hole, add some 10-10-10, water initially, top in about 4 weeks, put 2 plants per hole (about half will be male). Around the first of June pull the males to prevent seeding, around the middle of August pour some liquid nitrogen around the drip line. For maximum budding and THC levels, wait until the first frost to harvest. What is looked for and seen from the air...paths, water jugs and uniformity...reduce, or avoid these things altogether. Oh..P.S. I almost forgot. For best results, you will need at least 1/3 direct sunlight throughout the day, morning sun is the best. Good luck Germ!!
