My trail camera tells me that a doe is in the area that has an arrow stuck in it (not one of mine fortunately!). I have already used both of my doe tags. If I see this doe while hunting and I have a shot.... what should I do? (I can't tell how badly injured it is since the camera records stills, not video)

I know what I would do, but I'm staying out of this one. :)

Call the game warden and let him know the situation I bet money he’ll tell you to kill it and tag it for you

I concur call a warden first before doing anything decision wise.

I would definitely call the game warden before shooting it.

Where is the deer hit? another option might be to look for a rehab group that might be able to capture the deer and remove the arrow and be able to release the deer in the future.

Wow. Call the game warden ahead of time and let him decide. What a simple and obvious solution. I'm an idiot! Thanks guys! I'll call tonight.

Can you post the photo of the deer with the arrow stuck in it?

I'd rather not. Google "deer with arrow in it" and you'll get a huge number of pictures used by anti-hunters to promote their agenda. I'd rather not have this one added to it. In about 20 years of hunting this is the first I've seen this. Or I should say, that I or my trail camera have seen this.

Its a tough choice to make, but heed on the side of caution and report this to your local warden/DNR. They might even supply you with a tag to help this poor doe. It's not worth loosing your license over.

Why not invite a friend with a tag to fill with the stipulation on the doe you want taken?

Good call on not posting the pic.....it happens, you can't hide it, but you don't need to broadcast it either
