I was arrested for a Drunk in Public in college....do I qualify as having a criminal record? I would say probably yes. Ahhh, I love statistics and how they can be twisted. :)

The student average among those same universities is 3.5%. I'm not saying guys should be kicked off a program for premarital sex, but it is interesting that football players are twice as likely to have a criminal record than the rest of the student body. Is it not?

Matt, LOL. I am going to go out on a limb and say that male criminal record rates are 5-6 times higher than women (maybe higher). If males and females are equally represented on the campus at a 50/50 rate, that means that males are about 5-6% likely to have a criminal record as compared to about a 1% rate for women. 1%(female) + 6%(males)/2 equals that 3.5% average you stated earlier. So if football players had a criminal rate of 7%, then they are only 1% more likely to have one as compared to most men.

Now if the criminal rates of men are higher than women at a rate higher than I listed above, then football players are about average.

Criminal record rates are also higher amongst hunters than non hunters. (Men sure do screw up statistics) :)

If you can play defense and stop the run, MI does not care.

Thats because of gun hunters. They are all low life criminals.

It looks like it is in fact Oregon. Paying some recruiting service from Texas $25,000.

There is just no good information available about high school athletes these days. Many times, a high rated player commits to a school and we never even hear about it. I can see the need to higher services to find these kids. </sarcasm>

Many big time teams are corrupt. I think it is probably pretty hard to hide being corrupt in Oregon, but in other spots like the south where there are a ton of teams and the stakes are so high, the corruption is much harder to discover.
