I know that one some other forums (ex: snowmobile forums) they have a few GTG's in different area's because of forum users locations.

It would be nice to still have one in the PA/NY/Ohio area and the one in Illinois.

If there were to continue, here are a few suggestions.

    1) Support from Bowhunting.com - having support further promotes the forum
    2) Pre-Registration, this helps gauge the number of attendence for food.

Hell getting a response to an email would be a start on point number one

As far as pre registration I thought that people saying they were coming was good enough.

    I guess not!

Sorry to hear this. I know how disappointing it can be to plan, invest time, and invest money into an event and have others not show up when the said they would.

That's why I don't commit to anything that far ahead of time. I don't want to leave those organizing it hanging if I can't make it. This year, I was eying up that date, but I couldn't make it because we were hosting a party here. That's too bad that it turned out like that for you guys. I would love to make it up there one of these years, because frankly, there's no way I'm making it to the Illinois GTG.

Good way to be and the reason you stated below about not making to Illionois....I am sure you not the only one. Maybe another reason this site should support an Eastern GTG.

But then again, there are sites that don't have them at all......
