    You guys are welcome!

Gary sorry I didn't get back to see you off. I'm glad you had a nice safe trip home. Was nice meeting Jen and the kids, your daughter did an awsome job at waiting our table at breakfast....I forgot to tip her! :) Jen is and awsome baker!

With all the foul weather we still got to get all our shooting events in on Saturday and that was fun. I notice noone said anything about the Elk target shootoff. Rob and Gary jumped out to an early lead 11 points up and tied. After 3 more shooting stations Matt and I had creeped back up and were hot on their heels. Rob and Gary kept tying after each station which came down to a 50-55 yard final shot...... All I can say is I'm ready for that Elk hunt now. I ended up beating Rob and Gary with a last shot in the pumper to finish 2 points up on Gary and 3 up on Rob. Was alot of fun.

On the steel Buck i shot first and pinwheeled the opening in the steel plate. Matt went second and SMASHED his arrow. Then Rob stepped up and squeezed off a shot that squeaked in. We backed up a few yards and I shot again. I hit the plate about a 1/4 inch low at 6 o'clock SMASHED the arrow. All Rob had to do was put one in and he was champ. Well the pressure was on and he SMASHED his arrow in with a not so close miss. Rob decided he wanted nothing more to do with bustin up arrows and conceded defeat. In case your wondering Gary sat on the picnic table watching. I guess he figured since he won the 3-D shoot and the Poker shoot he'd save and arrow or two and just watch.

Despite the bad night on Friday we had a great shoot and some time to get to know more about each other and our hunting tales.

I will try to get pics up at some point.

    Thanks to all who participated.

I don't normally buy extended warranties, but I did for this trailer being it was used and I knew nothing about them. So we are covered.

Doug I left in a hurry I was afraid I would not be able to pull my trailer out, sorry I missed you and thanks for the note.

Yes we let Doug back in the elk shoot, and once he got in he slammed the door shut, even with his tuning for of a bow:poke:.

    Doug,

This one made me laugh... You win the prize for dumping the milkshake all over the vehicle! Good times.

Gary, glad that you made the journey and hats off to you for the awning fix. It was a good time shooting with you and I know that last time you weren't in our group.

Needless to say, today the tornado that was spotted not far from the campgrounds offically touched down not far over NY border.

The beer, it was Sam Adams Cherry Wheat which I know wasn't the beer of choice, but a recommendation from the local beer distributor..wasn't bad...I just like to try a few different brews.
Nobody mentioned the bottle cap opener in the bottom of my shoes either....mmmm

You would of like the Sam Adams for sure.

This must of happened on the pizza run ?

Just an FYI...I talked to mudshark on sunday at Dave's shoot and asked him if for fact there was actually a Preacher Tony.. He said he had met him last winter when he came down to deer hunt 1 day.

I was really beginning to wonder if he wasn't a fictional character. But Mudshark says he's real.

Well all I can say about that is I'm shocked that some of them didn't show. But more so that noone called or returned messages.

That was the last GTG I will be hosting.

I think a few of us had decent reasons, but HELL you're just over an hour away, what was yours the last THREE yeasrs????

    Doug,
I'm sorry to hear that, yet at the same time, I can't say I blame you too much as I know the previous two you've put a LOT of effort into them and they were a great time for all in attendance.
