I have purchased a number of firearms without ID and even had some given to me. None of that is against the law because I have a right to bear arms ;).

Edit: Matter of fact, I purchased a ML over the internet, no ID check. Some may argue that a ML isn't a firearm but that would be a ridiculous argument.

I laughed. Your questions were so full of inuendo they didnt really deserve an answer. You answered them for me with your own fallacy.

To be VERY clear, like I said, I have NO problem at all being required to show an ID to vote. I'm not even arguing that it is necessary, just that I would have absolutely no problem doing it. For you to keep brining up the national ID that I must carry at all times is just a distraction from the original discussion regarding voting. No surprise and no correlation to the point at hand.

The part where I said "I have a right bear arms" answers the question. You do not have a right to "purchase" arms but you do have a right to bear arms.

This immediately made me think of the time that Bill Clinton was under questioning about Monica Lewinsky and his impending impeachment vote and he said, "..it depends on what your definition of is is."

Seriously, more of the same. Bruce, I think you would have a very bright future in politics.

I don't know that I have taken any "shots" at you and I thought you were usually above that.

There is no explict right to vote listed in the Constitution. But it does say that states get to decide eligibility to vote.

"Finally, the attorney general noted with pride that the U.S. Supreme Court in two recent rulings regarding President Barack Obama's health care law and immigration laws passed in Arizona, largely supported the federal government and the Department of Justice. However, he said, he remained concerned that Arizona law enforcement, under the portion of the law upheld by the court, would be able to check the immigration status of any person suspected of being in the United States illegally.

"No American should ever live under a cloud of suspicion just because of what they look like," Holder said."

Enough of the scare tactics. On any given day I can literally get out of my cruiser at work and approach 10-12 guys that are mostly intoxicated and hanging around 7-11's and the like, and most if not all of them do not have a social security number and do not exist if you run them in any type of system. How safe is that? Having people walk around that technically do not exist in our country. I play by the rules and so do many other americans b/c if I didn't, there would be consequences.

Also, I agree with Bruce. Voter fraud is extremely rare.

What "shot"? The fact that your debate style would make you a good politician? Sorry, but it would. Take it as a compliment if you would rather.

“Anyone 18 or older may be asked to show a valid driver's license or state identification card for proof of age to be admitted to the fairgrounds.”

Just think of all the minorities the will be disenfranchised and inconvenienced and unable to attend the state fair. I’d expect all the radical activist groups opposed to voter ID in WI to likewise rail against this terrible infringement on the people of WI trying to get a corn dog or ride on an overpriced ride or win a goldfish.
