Heard most of it during his "Takeover" this past weekend on The Highway on Sirius. Pretty good stuff. Not a fan of all of his music, but it seems most of it on this album is pretty good.

I myself do not like this album. It's not bad, per say (sp?), but I really don't find it good. I was a big backer of Eric's and I am an Alternative Country guy, yet I still thought he was good. "Chief" is making me wonder... I like how progressive it is, and it has some cool vibes but the songs just aren't there. I give it a 6 out of 10

I think I'll pick it up on ITunes and comment further after the weekend.

I like the album, but have heard better from Eric IMO.

He puts on a hellacious show live, best "concert" i've ever attended overlooking the CMA Fest a few years back when Kid Rock made an appearance.

I really don't get what all the fuss is about regarding Eric Church. He's one of the few (maybe the only) country music artists that I can tolerate anymore, but he just doesn't impress me. His vocals are too weak to really belt out a powerful song and his lyrics are too cliche for me.

I did see him live two years ago and he puts on a great performance.

    Legit CD, IMO.

Just seems like a normal bro who enjoys cold beer and ladies. I normally get along with those folk. :D

I saw him live early last month. Good entertainer.

Love it!! Huge Eric fan and I love the different sounds he brings to the table and its not just this new pop crap either. Its legit music. I also love how he writes all his own stuff! "Jack Daniels" "Loves me like Jesus" and "Springsteen" are my top three.

Its kinda a love or hate cd...There are definitely some different sounds on this cd. He's one of my favorite to see in concert. He has so much energy. I'll be seeing him in September when he comes in town with Toby Keith.

When you start talking content of songs and lyrics.... I'm dead in the water. Can't understand words in most music. All I can hear is the tune and the beat. I gave up trying to hear words 40 years ago. Even my VA hearing aids don't help.

"Chief" was #1 on the country billboards and top 200, very rare for a country album.

I just don't like that he looks dirty in his videos.

Eric Church and Trace Adkins Concert was a blast and it was some really great music. I think that both of them are two of the best country singers out there today! I have Eric's first album and getting his second one soon.
