I'm all for equal OPPORTUNITY employment. I'm against affirmative action.

The best person for the job gets the job. Race or gender should not have any bearing on the outcome.

Unfortunately we all know that sometimes it does. But the time for using that as an excuse has come.

I, as a white hetero male, got bonus points for being a disabled veteran at my job. I also hold my employer accountable for adhering to equal employment opportunity for myself and coworkers. It drives the upper management nuts when they have to follow the rules and can not just make up rules as they go along.
