I have a dozen FMJ's, the guy I bought them from gave me epoxy for the inserts, so I did a dozen using it(field tips) Went to another pro shop to get broad heads and the guy said never use epoxy with these shafts/inserts use the glue. Another sales guy said epoxy for field tips and glue for the broad head inserts. I have been using the epoxied inserts with my field tips and so far so good. I understand the reasoning for using glue for the broad heads since it will be easier to melt and tune the arrow.
    What do you guys prefer?

I think it's one of those different strokes for different folks. I use epoxy and know folks that use super glue.

Loctite Epoxy extra time. The 60 min working time is important I've been told. That's all I've used with my FMJ and Deep 6 FMJ's and never had a issue. I've built prob 30-40 of them over past two years, not losing any insert in a target or discovery of any lose inserts. Bag and foam targets

I'll probably stick to the epoxy, seems a bit easier to work with than the glue stick.

I wouldn't use anything but epoxy for the hit inserts.
