I own a couple of Epic HD cameras. Anything you're looking to know specifically?

Just some general info - when you buy them, they come with a variety of different mounting options in the package. However, the two or three I've found most useful you have to purchase separately. That would be the suction cup, which is great for afixing to your windshield for either inside or outside shooting, the visor mount, which clips on your hat, and the tree-screw which I use while bowhunting from a tree.

The camera itself is pretty simple. Once you've got it set up you hit one button to turn it on, another to start recording, and you're on your way. It films in 1080p HD, which gives you great clarity.

One thing to note with the EPIC or any small POV camera is that they have a very wide angle lens to capture a lot of area, but over a relatively short distance. Yes, they will work for filming your own hunt if attached to your bow, but anything further than say 15 yards will be difficult to make out. They key is just making sure your expectations are in line with what you're going to get so you're not disappointed.

All in all, my Epic works great and I fully intend on using it quite a bit this fall. If you come out to the Get Together on June 9th you can check them out in person - we'll have a few there that we'll be using to film stuff throughout the day.

Oh heck yes, I will def be checking those out and hoping to be getting one for myself before Fall so I can film prey and myself, I love those kind of shots where you see it go down from both sides, even if it is Justin using it :moose:! good info!

I got one when they first came out. Came with tree screw, watertight case, straps out the yinyang, etc. I tried various setups and was never that pleased. I do have a camera for my Archos that does very nicely though.

The original Epic cams that came out a few years back and the new Epic HD cams are a world apart. The new cameras are more reliable, easy to use, and take much better video. Advances in technology are an amazing thing. :tu:

Yeah, whatever. Next, I suppose you'll claim that there really is a such thing as indoor plumbing. Jeez, you guys really think I fell off the honey wagon yesterday, don't ya!?! :bash:
