I just wanted to share some information about a fantastic broadhead. Visit EPEK Broadheads on facebook and like em. http://www.facebook.com/EpekXC3Broadhead

The entire purpose of the design, engineering, machining and production of this amazing broadhead is to ensure pin point accuracy. Not only will the flight of this concealed blade broadhead allow you to place your pin on the spot you want to hit, it allows you to get your arrow to that exact spot. With a simple change of a set screw, you can put this broadhead into practice mode and the blades will not deploy ensuring not only a broadhead you can practice with, but a broadhead that you can perfectly practice with. You will not ding up your blades, you will not ruin your target.

Note: The blades do expand upon contact and with a 'load' on the blade, both parts of the broadhead are locked together for extreme strength thru out the wound channel. When that 'load' is released, the blades are allowed to 'de-barb' and escape from an errant shot.

    Penetration

The bone shattering chisel point ensures the EPEK X-C3 will not wedge in to ribs, shoulder blades or gristle. The larger diameter of the EPEK X-C3 and the extreme cutting angles of the deployed blades allow for deep penetration with minimal arrow drag. You want the best opportunity to get two holes on either end of the wound channel and this fact went into the over all engineering of the EPEK X-C3.

    Durability

The simple mechanics and process of these mechanics allows for the EPEK X-C3 to engage immediately upon impact, and with any load placed on the exposed blades, the mechanism and geometry of this design locks all parts together. This allows all 100 – 125 grains to be one solid piece of hardened alloyed aluminum as it withstands the extreme force placed upon it with the initial energy generated from your bow.

    Dependability

The main concern with ‘mechanical broadheads’ is the answer to the question, “do the mechanics work?”. Understanding that with out guaranteed blade deployment, the EPEK X-C3 would be useless, the research and development phase required before final sign off for mass production takes in engineering tests and tolerances that must meet zero defect standards. Considering mechanical advantages of the levered blades, the slide tolerances required for impact deployment at any entry angle, the tightness tolerances required that initial inertia does not deploy the blades in flight are all factored into this zero defect standard that will be guaranteed in the X-C3.

    Laceration

Along with the great penetration of the EPEK X-C3, comes a few added features which will enhance laceration. The offset angle of the blades promotes a twisting cut into tightened hide, organs and arteries. This along with the sharp edge of the designed blade which does not allow for ‘roll off’, ensures a very effective and ethical wound channel which should enhance hemorrhaging an lead to shorter tracking and quicker demise.
