Does anyone plant clover or rye to use on a logging road or path to keep quiet on their way into a stand? Have a mowed path that leads to my stand and foodplot. Was looking for input on what to plant on the mowed pathway.

I was wondering the same thing. I have old logging roads where I hunt at and was trying to find something to plant on them last night after I kill the weeds off

If you want a quiet path you just need dirt. If you plant something to make the path more quiet then you are attracting the animals to that path that you are using. I just rake the leaves on the path close to my stands.

We have just put throw n grow down on our logging road. It makes a nice kill plot. They stop for a snack before they head to the bigger ag fields around us. And it helps that they were traveling across it anyway

I would consider cereal rye due to its ability to grow almost anywhere. I wouldn't use the same trail for my access to the stand though...
