Who keeps the heart or liver or other deer guts? What do you use them for? I have kept and ate hearts once didnt much like them. I bet you could grind them in with your burger and not notice anything though? Or possibly even liver? I've also heard of people who trap snapping turtles or other animals go as far as saving the lungs and other guts to use as bait? Whats you thoughts?
Another question, I'm looking into buying a hand crank grinder. What one do you use? Most of the ones I looked into have poor rating reviews. :tu:

I actually keep the heart and liver. The heart we grind up into the burger, very nutritious meat. The liver is prepared by my mother-in-law. We have a "date night" every year and she fixes me liver and onions. Her and I are the only two that eat it so we joke and say it's our "date night"! LOL!!

We keep the hearts and slice them into "steaks" and fry them in butter. They are AMAZING. I have tried the liver and I cannot do it. To me, it is like eating a fried blot clot. Not very appetizing. I will feed them to my chickens this year.

I have tried the heart and the liver and do not like them.
I used a hand grinder for years it's kinda a pain. The hand grinder works but your arms get tired quick. I got an electric one 3 years ago it's one of the best investments I have every made.

My 17 year old daughter wants me to save the hearts so that her school class can dissect them for extra points.
