I am finding out that I am addicted to them and it's finally time to quit.
I am on day 2 and I have to tell I sure have gotten a headache on and off since my last can.
I do drink 1 diet Pepsi a day to kind willow off the caffeine kick.
Have any of you had this happen?

I'm not a coffee drinker so this caught me off guard with the headaches.

I don't drink coffee myself, but have been, at times, an avid Coke Zero drinker. Everytime I decide to put the soft drinks away, I have bad headaches for a day or two. They'll pass.

I had the same thing happen a few years back. I stopped drinking soft drinks all together for about 6 months. I lost 8lb the first week and 20 total just by not drinking them. Bad part was I had terrible head aches for a good 2 weeks after I quit drinking them. It was almost as bad as me quitting dip. Oh and that has been 4 months now.

Its hard quitting something you are addicted too period. I chose to shop drink those drinks when I worked for a logistics company that stopped storing/shipping filled cans of those things due to when they leaked, it would eat into the concrete floor. I saw where it had happened and I said heck no, not anymore.

Well, here's the deal. I never had one and I can guarantee I never will with all this Atrial fibrillation I've had going on for the past few months. It's not fun. Things that cause it to be more severe are Caffine, chocolate, alcohol, smokes... in general... all the good things in life. LOL I quit smoking the 4th of Nov. I now drink maybe a cup of half decafe and half regular coffee every other day, no chocolate and I damn sure aren't going to try energy boost drinks that would probably make my heart hit 200 beats per minute. I have a low grade Afib that started at 2 today. It's still there. The alcohol.... screw it... I'm on my 3rd gentleman Jack. LOL Anyway, my feeling.... those energy drinks should probably be outlawed. Long term use has got to have reprecussions.

I too, can drop about 20lbs in 2-3 weeks from cutting out soft drinks all together... drink nothing but water and I can shed the pounds... but I always go back...

The same thing happens to me. Every summer, I quit drinking pop and eat a grilled chicken salad for lunch every day. Between that and working construction for 10 hours a day in 100 degree heat, I drop 20 pounds like its nothing. But come fall it just comes back.

Headaches happen from quitting anything like that cold turkey, you should have just weened yourself off for about a week and your headache problem would have been much less severe.. sticks what did you do to quit chewing? did you go cold turkey?

I'm going the other way. I've gained 13 pounds since I quit smoking. It's been over 3 months. If they told me... "you have 1 hour to live... what do you want"? I'd say light me a Marlboro Light..... and keep the pack close for the next hour. LOL

So by not smoking.... I guess I'm trying to live more than the next hour. LOL

A NOS a day will keep the doctor away! haha

I enjoy a NOS about once a month but they are much too sugary for me to drink regularly, make my stomach hurt. I drink diet coke or water 100% of the time.

from time to time i'll hit up an energy drink (usually red bull) but thats only if i've had a rough night. fellas at work here have been sipping that Rockstar revitilize and it doesnt taste bad but i know it bad for ya. no coffee cause there usually isnt a bathroom close enough to me after a few sips. i do however, prob 4-5 times a week drop a scoop of SPARK by AdvoCare http://www.advocare.com/products/active/A2094.aspx in my water bottle before my lift. as i get about half way done i'll fill up with water again to dilute, and then again at the end of the lift to last me thru my cardio. so i cut it twice as i go that helps cause if not i'll get a little jittery between sets

I had a similar problem with caffeine and headaches in college. I got addicted to monster low carb. And drank at least one a day. Cvs by my school had a 2 for $3 sale and I bought everything they had.

One day I just decided to stop drinking them. I still have one occasionally and I need coffee to function/ not get headaches.
