Hey guys, I have lived in Colorado now for about a year. I have got a nice little chuck of land to hunt that sits in the middle of the ranch that I work on. The elk have been consistently moving either through or right next to this chunk of ground going to alfalfa fields. This time of year is there any kind of calling that a guy can do if you catch a few of these elk moving through. It seems like they are across the fence everytime I hunt but have seen them and tracks disecting all over the piece that I hunt. There is a main ridge that they seem to do most of their travelling on but its hit or miss when I have been hunting. Anyways a question to the elk hunting gurus as this is my first year, if any is there a good way to bring them into bow range at this time of year other than depending on their travel patterns (ie calling,)
