Tragic story from out west two friends bow hunting for elk, did not return to their vehicle. ^ days of searching they were killed by a lightning strike.

Lightening , such random tragedy it causes, It's so sad and may the families take comfort that even in the terrible loss of two young men, freinds, they left this world not alone.

We were chatting about this earlier today at the office. Dying young sucks no matter what it's from. But if I had to pick a way to go, it would be sitting on a mountain with one of my best friends while chasing elk. They report it happened instantly with no pain. One second you're here, the next you're gone.

    RIP, young men.

Tough story to hear. I know someone who was out hunting in that area and joined in the search and rescue efforts. Prayers for the families of those young men.

It was earlier mentioned that the GPS device or whatever was on his vest was not working. Wife said it was probably fried, too.
It's a shame and tragedy that we lost two young hunters.

I watched this throughout as well, was really holding out hope that they were just lost and would survive the weather and be found. I feel for their families and especially the fiancé. Much too young to be lost to such a crazy/low odds event.
