I currently live in North Carolina, so it is hot and humid. Now my problem is that my Energy 32 is having some rough resistance during the draw, like a creeking feeling. I find that the only thing that helps is to put bow string wax on the cable guard rod. But ofcourse this is only temporary. Any suggestions!?
I have heard that the limb forks were tight on the cams causing resistance. If that was the case I don't think waking the cable rod would fix it. However it's worth a shot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My 32 is smooth as can be. Take it in and let your shop look at it. Let us know what they say. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
Forgot to mention it may just be tuned wrong. Let us know how it goes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Some of the older models people were saying the cable guards were chewing up their strings. Not sure if that's one of them? Many have switched to the Suanders Hyper Glide and if putting wax on your cable guard seems to help then this would be the best thing to try. On a side note I've always been told to never put anything on the cable guard, that it should be clean as possible. Anything added only attracts dust and dirt which makes things worse.
If it is a cable slide problem, switch it a Teflon slide. The Sims Teflon slide or the Saunder's Hyperglide are good ones. Otherwise take it to where you bought it. Sent from my IPhone 5S.
I had to switch to the saunders hyperglide as the stock cable slide was eating up my cables.. I didn't really notice any difference in draw cycle after the install. I will say my Hoyt drew better than my energy 32 but thats about it.. if your talking about the "hump" you feel right before the valley, I think it's the way the cam setup is is why it's like that, and it's more dramatic on the 32 vs 35. Maybe somebody else has better info?
