Negative, 32 is the shortest. I want to shoot one of those Energys, or maybe I shouldn't? For those on a budget, some great used deals out there right now with seasons ending and the new lineup out. No worries with the transferrrable lifetime warranty. I can tell you the '13 Hunter and Answer are some sweet shooters!
Yes you can pick up a 13 Hunter or Answer for a song right now. On the ATA....the number is only part of the story I we are talking about compactness. The E32 cams aren't very big...you can have a 30 ATA with typically huge cams and your total length is much longer. In shooting the E32 it has a compact feel to me..much like my 2013 Hunter. ...they are sweet shooting...easy bows to shoot.
Your chill has an IBO of 333 and the hunter 326 how is that enough to be the deciding factor. And I have shot both and the hunter has a much better draw and back wall to me Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
I bought a Z-28 the last year they made them. I love the bow. As said, its the smoothest draw cycle ive experienced. I think I'll be in the market for a new bow this spring. I dont believe that speed is the most important factor when buying a bow, but i have noticed that many of my buddies have a tighter group of pins in their sight. I would like to have a little more speed in case i mis-judge shot distance. That being said, i will certainly be considering elite for this years purchase.
I started looking at the Elite last year and waited till this spring to buy the Hunter.I shot the Mathews Chill the Elite Answer and hunter and found the Hunter to have the least jump and the most forgiving. Was a little slower then the Answer, but only a few fps. Faster then the Mathews chill and had a way better back wall.In my mind it is the best shooting and best looking bow and camo of any bow. I shot a GT500 for a year but was a little longer than I wanted out my climber sitting to shoot. The Energy 32 is a real nice bow. Really solid back wall, easy to draw, and pretty dead as far as movement on the shot. It came down to the Energy 32 and Faktor 30 for me and I liked the Faktor better so bought it. You should shoot the Elites before you buy a new bow just to make an educated decision.
I've heard excellent things about elite. Since I shoot Mission, my mind has always gravitated toward mathews as a possible next bow, but I have a feeling I'll be impressed with elite. I wouldnt be surprised if I end up buying one over a mathews next year.
He is very good at what he does.. But il bet he will be good at what ever bow he decides to shoot. Who knows what kind of money they gave him to switch to Elite.
My local shop deals with Elite and everyone who is staff their shoots one> They gave me staff pricing on any bow I wanted so I shot them all and I ended up paying $75 more for an Elite over any other bow in its class just because I love the way they shoot my only complaint is the grip size its a bit too narrow for me Dan
You can change the grip out very easy, Elite sells a a wider grip that you can swap out....that said the narrow grip tends to shoot very well after you become accustomed to it. In simple terms less is more...less area to torque. Put slight pressure on the grip between just below your thumb, seating the grip just above your life line and use a closed hand with little if any pressure from your fingers. This is extremely repeatable both on the range and in hunting situations...
The elites are very nice bows. I was set to buy one, but deferred and went with something else a little less pricey, nice shooting bow. Then I tried the Obsession, and everything I liked about the Elite (draw cycle, solid wall, easy hold, dead in hand) was multiplied when I shot the Obsession. I had to have it, and would never trade my obsession Sniper LT for anything else out there. The closest I seen to the obsession however was the Elite Hunter, and Hoyt Spyder. Rumor has it the same designer of the cam system in the Elite, is now designing the Obsession, and has also worked for Bowtech in the past, as well as Strothers. That being said, (and I know this only as rumor and not fact) there does seem to be a similarity in the draw cycles and designs of those brands. I personally love my Obsession, but would never sneer at an Elite or any other brand out there. Everyone seems to have really stepped up their game in the last few years. The new Mathews, Hoyts, Elites, Obsessions, and Bears are some really nice bows.
The grip was changed out before the bow left the shop on both my Hunter and Energy 32 still not my favorite grip barehanded with gloves on its not bad but it just feels a bit off on the other hand I'm spot on out to 65yards and taken many animals with the hunter and I'm sure the Energy 32 will get a workout before the season is done I still have 2 tags to go Dan
Was looking last night on AT, some awesome deals out there. Brand new Hunter, in the box for 670 shipped. A 2013 Answer used for 460, wow. Tempted to buy another one
Sound like sweet deals! Another satisfied Elite shooter here! Shot the Energy 35 and 32 last night and it is going to be extremely hard NOT to go and upgrade this year. Wow, those are some sweet bows. I didn't know how they were going to improve, but they did. Silent, zero shock, smooth draw, solid backwall. Tremendous shooting bows
Kevin Strother is the who designs for them...or did. I'm a PSE guy...but really liking that new Energy 32
KS designed for a lot of companies at different times...right now I think the only place he has his hooks still in is Obsession and Stevens.
Sorry for the late reply, I just saw this. I shot both bows over a chrony at the shop. I don't remember what the speeds were now but the chill got much closer to the advertised speed than the hunter did.
