I am gonna be in the market for a new bow soon and my neighbor bought a Elite Z28 and loves it. I shot it and also fell in love, not trying to start any tension but he sold a Matthews Z7 to get it and doesn't regret it. Anyone know anything bad that I am not noticing about the Elites? If they are such good bows, why is there no hype or anything about them?

    Thanks guys!!

There was a model that was assembled by another company that Elite would not warranty from what I understand. I do not recall which model it was, but that is the only bad thing that I have come across since I purchased mine. I'm sure you could Google it, though. Also, the owner or someone high up in the company did get busted for poaching, but that has nothing to do with the product that bares the Elite name.

    Welcome to the site Mitch!

I just purchased the Answer about a month ago and absolutely love it. The only thing I would complain about (and trust me, I'm really digging here) is the cable slide. I prefer the roller guard over the out-dated cable rod and cable slide, but that is just my opinion. Other than that, this bow shoots greats: smooth, quiet, everything I ask for in a hunting rig.

Elites are a hard bow to beat. they draw absolutely perfect and you hold less weight at full draw. they have a great backwall, and a super smooth draw! the elite garrenty cant be beat. go to elites archery forum, and do some digging there. i have a 2011 pure. its an amazing bow. good luck, Brian.

awesome thanks guys!! And i just signed up today but I have been on the site everyday for about the past 6 months haha. But thank you guys, I know everyone has their opinions and I have gotten alot of opinions from guys around my house but no one is really open minded. I went on a shoot day where I shot probably 7 different bows and decided to save the money and finish this year with mine. I then shot my neighbors and it blew my mind. I know what you mean about the cable and I agree I do prefer the roller guard but thanks guys!! I'll keep digging and saving!!
