I just flew home from Tour, took the red eye out of NYC, I only had 2 days off. I woke up to a phone call telling me what was going on....The rest of my crew and a couple Band guys stayed in the City. I had to rent a car to get back......pretty crazy drive.

I was home, sleeping when my mom called to tell me to turn on the news, something bad had happened. To be honest, after that I don't remember a whole bunch. I know I just watched the news, but it's really just a blur. My brother was working in a building within sight of the pentagon.

I was in college at the time in a lab exercise. When I heard about the first tower I shrugged it off. When the second hit I watched tv in the college lounge for a couple of hours till I went home to watch more.

I was at work when I heard about the first plane hitting the twin towers. We had a TV in a break room, and many us were glue to the TV for the next few hours or so –
When we saw the second one slamming into the building no one could breathe. The silence that came over the building afterwards as we watched continuing coverage was eerie. Not a day I ever want to forget or re-live!

I was eating breakfast at in our college cafeteria, when someone came in telling everyone that a plane had flew into one of the towers. I looked at my buddy and said that someone is going to be in major trouble and then someone else ran in and said a second plane had hit the towers. we turned on the tv in the cafe and just sat there and watched for hours.

I had no classes that day, so I was working at the lumber yard. My girlfriend at the time picked me up for lunch and was telling me about it. I didn't believe it. We got to the apartment and I turned the TV on Fox News and within 5 min I saw the second plane in the back ground right before it struck the second tower. I remember being so angry that all I could do was pace around the living room. It was a day I'll never forget.

I was working for a a consulting company and was driving to Cleveland to do some work in a Sears store. I was listening to what was happening on the radio on Howard Stern. Howard was explaining what was going on as it happened. When I got to the Sears store I headed right to the appliance department. The footage was on all of the TVs. It was really surreal. As soon as I saw the footage of the first tower collapse I got back in my truck and headed right home.

We were living outside Cherry Point and Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. We were getting ready to load the truck up to go to work installing a tile shower. We never made it to work that day. I walked outside put the Flag up.
I know the Marine would be on the move. Was not but a couple nights later and they started moving out late at night.

2nd Period 7th grade history. News came over the intercom. 3rd period teacher put on the news and we saw the first tower fall live.

Lunch time was 5th and the payphones were packed, teachers were letting kids use their cell phones and use office phones to get in touch with parents. I called my house like 50 times and couldnt get an answer. Finally my cell rang and it was my uncle. He missed his train by about 45 seconds and decided to punch out for the day and stay home. He worked on the 67th floor of N Tower. Another uncle, 2 cousins and a very close family friend were all NYPD officers and were first responders. Only my 2 cousins came back that afternoon.

Got home and you could see the smoke from the 2nd floor of my house all the way on Long Island.

I will never forget as long as I live what I did those few hours.

"Cities fall, but they are rebuilt. And heroes die, but they are remembered. We honor them with every brick we lay, with every field we sow, With every child we comfort, and then teach to rejoice in what we have been re-given. Our planet. Our home. So now, let us begin. "

I was just walking out of the woods from the land navigation course at Ft Benning and we overheard some of the news on the flatbed truck radio. Cadre turned it off and gathered everyone to brief us, and once we got back to the barracks we all saw the footage in the common room. I remember shortly after that several phones started ringing, and some of the Rangers that were in our BNCOC class started packing their things. Since that day, I have had the honor to deploy with and work alongside the finest soldiers, US and soldiers from other countires as well. It is still amazing that the fight continues to this day, hope everyone takes time today to remember those we lost that infamous day, and those along the way.

The night before, my wife and I got the kids to bed early and watched Young Frankenstein-laughing. The next day, 9/11, I was trying to figure out an out of balance problem in one of our reporting systems at the brokerage where I was working. One of the guys saw a story on his news ticker and everybody swarmed to the TVs in the break room to catch the second plane crashing into the tower. An hour later everybody was sent home. My wife picked up the kids, the rest of the day spent fixated by the TV.

Living near a train track and in the flight path to the airport was deafeningly silent for nearly a week.

We lost more on 9/11 than we did on December 7th 1941. The difference was on December 7th, it was Japanese military attacking an American military base. On 9/11, it was a group of spineless cowards attacking mainly civilian targets.

I was living just outside Dallas and was on my way to work. I was running late and heard it on the radio in the car. I arrived to the office and no one had a clue anything happened. I went right to the boardroom to turn on the tv and never left that room all day.

I was living in southern GA at the time and it happened to be a friend of mines girlfriends birthday. He and I were in the truck on our way to pick up a whole pig we were smoking all day that day to celebrate her birthday. Will never forget that ride and the radio interruptions and broadcasts that day.. God Bless

    Frustrating!
    And Ms Clinton has been tasked to soft-pedal on Iran's nuclear developments, the UN is doing nothing and Iran has stated it has plans to have their ships off our coast within 3 years;

And increasing evidence that seems to indicate Pakistan takes our $ and lies to our face.

And both the Taliban and Al Quida seems to be regaining power in Afghanistan.
