Well, at this point, actually over 1,000,000 million more good people voted for Mitt than Obama.

For you to talk of narrow mindedness you first must get over your Bush fetish, for any one to believe America is heading in the right direction after tonights results their narrow mindedness is Mideastern peace and world hunger wrapped into one.
And for this we will all pay!

Just the idea that your actions, in your mind are in right direction, is hard for me to understand, your children are the real losers and and that you are blind to that fact truly amazes me.
If your kids ever achieve paying off this countries debt they will receive the title to what?

Jim, you know nothing of my actions, this is the Internet get a grip.
Every president republican or democrat has added to the debt. The fact you keep voting for the same boneheads says a lot about you perhaps, I really don't know, being this is still just the Internet.
Putting the same boneheads back in office and just changing from red or blue does nothing.

Hopefully this will make the Republican party wake up and realize that perhaps they need to find a strong candidate for 2016, not just someone who has good hair and lots of money.

And if the Republicans really want to win, they will drop the socioeconomic issues (gay marriage, abortion, etc), and solely focus on what the majority of people really care about, which is our economy.

Good call hooker, but there is no way they drop those issues, it's their bread and butter in primaries.

Any republican that drops those issues will be beat in the primary, why do you think Romney drifted so far to the right.

I know they won't, but until they do, the Republicans will continue to lose the Independent vote. I know many, many people who do not vote Republican because they believe that they are too influenced by the Evangelicals.

IMO... They failed to address the intersection between those social issues and the economy and thus alienated groups they needed to win. For instance, no-one really addressed investing in Latino states. Instead, the campaign concerning Lations became how to control them without losing someone to "pick our maters."Hard to earn their vote when you speak of them as a problem to be controlled or eliminated instead of as viable partners to mutually succed with. I don't believe Romney has the capacity to view and value them (social groups) as legitimate alliances.

I know what you mean but I do wish we had a better term to use than "evangelicals." Someone who is truly evangelical looks to engage and partner with others without judgmentally alienating them.
