Ok guys still new at this filming hunts but now that I have a little footage what is a good editing software to use? I am not the best on the computer so need something that can be picked up and learned pretty easy.

I use IMovie...I have a macbook pro and it came with it and i love it. If you have a Mac then you can use that and it works great. If you don't have a Mac I have used a couple different ones. I used a couple different versions of pinnacle studio and it was really pretty good. I never had a great computer to run it on so it went so slow so i bought a mac. I used the software that campbell cameras has as their beginner one and i didn't like it at all. It didn't have a whole lot on it. I hope that helps some.

Check out this thread and video by ''TheFieldArcher''.

I asked him what ''editing software'' he used and he said the ''Microsoft Movie Maker'' that came with Windows 7.

I didn't know you could all of that with Movie Maker! . . I'm trying to learn how to use it, and I'm trying to edit videos on the GoPro Studio 2.0.

Prestonwk makes some great videos too!

I'm not going to buy any ''editing software'' when you can use what came on your computer, and edit videos great like those 2 members did! :)

If you are on a Mac, Final Cut Pro is great. Easy to use and extremely powerful. Lots of great sites like finalcutking.com have some great tutorials and there are lot of books on how to use the software.

On Windows, I will admit I have little experience for editing software. I have heard good stuff about Sony Vegas Pro which can be snagged for $400 on Amazon. Adobe Premiere is great but IMHO overly complex for a beginner.

Oh and there is no editing software that will make a great video. That is 100% in the hands of the editor and the videographer. It truly is an art with a tad bit of science. It takes practice and skill to make a great video regardless of the tool.
