I had VideoPad, but my other computer fried no saving it at all what so ever, so just want to upgrade a little and try something else. so BUMP im surprised this thread hasn't taken right off
Im just using iMovie right now on my Macbook pro. It does fine for now and it handles HD video. If i get into more i might upgrade, but i have no need to right now.
I use Sony Vegas HD. It works awesome but is a little tricky to get used to at first. http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/moviestudiope
I have been using Pinnacle Studio Pro. I am running a few versions old but still a great product. Super easy to use and seems to have most of the great features you would want and a decent price. Soon as I get my new computer and camera I will upgrade software but thinking that I will stick with it just get the newer version.
I use Premiere Pro, but I used to use Sony Vegas. Personally, I think it really depends on what type of work you're doing. If you're just throwing together home movies to share with friends, then Vegas will suit you just fine, but Premiere is more in tuned with the needs of professionals and has a more in depth tools and a better interface in my opinion. I'll still use Vegas to build time lapses and what not, just because it's easy, but PP is the way to go in my opinion.
I couldn’t agree more. I just got adobe production premium suite CS6. It’s awesome! Only problem I have now is feeling guilty about sitting at the PC when it’s so nice outside!
Adobe Production Premium Suite CS5.5 here for the past couple years. It took a lot of time to get used to it but once I did, I wouldn't go back. Out of the Suite, I use Premier and After Effects the most. After Effects is one powerful program and the sky is endless with it. I used to use Sony Vegas 8. The Vegas home user line is nice for the price and is actually pretty powerful. I haven't used it though in a couple of years.
