    And here I thought I was the only one who knew this! Great stuff. I always equate deer and structure to fishing for bass. Both love and are drawn to these things.

    Great analogy! I just set my stand about 10 yards in from a corn field along the hard edge with cross trails moving along my right and in front of me. Sure am glad to read this article after I set up. Nice to hear some confirmation of the work I have put in recently. I hope it pays off.

    I agree. I think the soft edge idea was the most helpful. I have a lot that stand out in my mind in my locations. Many transitions from open oak groves to mountain laurel and thicket, etc. Or oak groves to small clearings and much less dense forest. These areas are where I see the most sign in my woods.
