Edgar is a good Illinois County which remains above goal for deer numbers, hence its remaining in the late-winter antlerless only firearm deer season. In 2014, 26.4% of all deer harvested were males that were 2.5 yrs and older (statewide was 24.3%). Of the antlered animal harvest in 2014, 64.2% of the antlered males were 2.5 yrs and older (statewide was 58.2%). There seems to be quite a bit of leasing and outfitting so access could be somewhat difficult. Good luck! Tom
