I had 10 old Easton FMJ 340 arrows that I plan on using this year. I ordered 6 more. When I got the new ones it says they are 11.3 grains per inch. The old ones are 11.1 grains per inch. Why would the same arrow have a different gpi from one year to the next? I don't think a few grains is gonna make that much difference but they could at least stay consistent from one year to the next on the same arrow.
That is interesting, I just started using them about 5 months ago and mine say 10.2 which are the 400 shafts. I googled this and something came up in another forum about a guy calling and talking to an easton rep and the rep said that some arrows where misprinted. Maybe that could be the case.
I think I have 8-9 of the old ones that I am looking to get rid of. I will have to take a look at them and see what they say. John, you interested in them?
Not positive, but i believe i read that the carbon core is slightly thicker in the newer arrows. I have not verified with easton though. I also shoot FMJ's and love them.
