Well, yes and no. I'm sure it's strictly business. You know he's got build it so he can sell it. LOL I would prefer they took a harsher stand.... yada yada yada..... but it's business. You have to pay the bills and take care of things as you see fit. Someone like Cabelas or all the big TV stars won't miss a beat or loose much money if any. They don't count on these shows to help business....
That would make it even worse for them...they will have shown that all they care about is $$$ - since obviously the vendors pulling out (and potential loss of alot of $ to them) caused them to change their stance. Even if they do, I hope all the vendor still stay out. Companies repping this industry have to take a stand. They showed their color already.
Good lord, I bet thats a pain in the *** for everyone involved! I for one wouldn't want to deal with any of it!
AMEN!!!! I will refuse to stand behind a company that wont stand behind me, so i'm sure a lot of people will agree with that.
Well if Reed doesn't change their stance hopefully they can start it back up in Indy! Both the state fairgrounds and convention center downtown would be perfect for this. It really is total BS that they would take up that side of the debate, very disappointing.
Except the year it snowed & snowed & snowed. I think you were the only one there a few days as I remember.
Talked to Andy at Ultimate Camo today, they are out as well and a small company that definitely benefits from the show. Hope to see more companies joining the ban this week.
I really hope the show changes its position and everyone can attend and make money as well as enjoy themselves......that said its all or nothing and we cant compromise any longer. I will support those companies that stand with us and fight. Keep pressure on the the show via email and FB, hopefully they come around.
I dont think I will go even if they change. Maybe next year. Ill know they changed for the wrong reason and can not support that either. You are right, it is a shame. If it were a different time, when guns wernt under attack by our government, it wouldnt have been a big deal. But, now more then ever, we need support, not this negative stance. Id rather spend my money donating to the NRA to help our fight then give it to these people.
I will not be attending this year but I will be headed up to Trop gun shop to show them some support. I believe they were the first to drop and really have a nice place up in elizabethtown. Also I just saw that if you bring in a receipt from any company that has dropped out of the show Trop will enter you into a drawing for a free windham weapons AR. Look them up on FB for details. I would post a link if I could figure out how on this iPad. Technology is not my strong suit unfortunately
I've been there probably 15 times. I've spent as much as a thousand and as little as a hundred. LOL It is an addictive thing at times. I can't believe these people shot themselves in the foot so quickly trying to appeal to the people that don't support them and saying "To hell with you" to the people that have made them so much. I'll just add to my Cabelas and Simms purchases on line this year.
The only bad thing I see with this situation, is they are dividing us when we need to stay united against the real problem.
Nice to read an article like that, it's sending a strong message to a lot of people beyond the promoters. Sadly this is going to hit the local community as well, would be like canceling a NASCAR race, a lot of local business's make their money during these things as much as anyone.
Bowhunting.com has removed themselves from the show.....glad to see it guys Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
This is awesome, Andy is one of us, I know what spring turkey camo my son and I will be sporting in a few weeks! We need to support the companies and small businesses that backed out and get some of their losses back!
