Thats what i was thinking but its last minute so i dont know if they could get in there. I could be wrong though.
Here is the FB page for the show....http://www.facebook.com/EasternSports?ref=ts&fref=tso Post and let them know how you feel and why your not attending. Nothing make me prouder as Hunter/gun owners then seeing all of us stand up fight this together. The idea that we should make a segment of our fellow outdoors men/ guns owners and business in industry a sacrificial lamb for the sake of appearances ...to the VERY people that want to take our rights away is disgusting. See the guys at bowhunting.com and everyone else on the list makes me proud and I know I am standing with the right people and friends.
Where is the 'Like' button for this post?? hahahaha I agree completely. Good to see people sticking together and making a statement
Glad to hear it Justin. Hope you guys didnt lose much with that choice. Cant thank you enough for standing by us in this time of need.
OFFICIAL SHOCKEY STATEMENT REGARDING ESOS: Due to recent decisions made by Reed Exhibitions regarding the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show, Jim and Eva Shockey will not attend this year’s event. We have carefully considered the feelings of our fans, customers and business partners in making this decision. We will miss seeing all of our friends who visit us in Harrisburg each year. Thank you for your support and understanding. - Team Shockey
I wonder what the IBO is going to do about the Keystone Country Store Indoor Nationals? I was planning on shooting but with Keystone dropping out as well and the fact that I don't want to go up there to support the show, I wonder if the IBO will change the venue and/or date? Any info?
The IBO has been contacted and they are makings a decision, from my understanding it was taking place early this week. Some issue with prepaid entries are clouding things up. Two guys I know were shooting it cancelled, they asked that the money either be refunded or donated to 2nd amendment groups. I will update when I know further.
good for you guys out there. Absolutely it is an erosion of our rights slow but sure, If anyone thinks it can't happen, guess again. It has happened slowly over the years. I heard one good statement the other day. Punishing the whole for the acts of a few.
Check out what we been working on...we are setting up a virtual show for all the companies that are standing with us. We are hoping that they could recoup some lost business that they suffer from dropping out of the show. http://mynortheastoutdoors.com/myneod-to-launch-virtual-sports-show-classifieds/
Advertising that u will be there in this thread most likely is not going to get you any visitors....I would read the threads a little more carefully before you post....there's a lot of pissed off people regarding this event.....just saying Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
I wouldn't be so quick to black ball some of the companies that are still attending. While its great what you're doing to champion the guys who have decided to take a stand, some of the other companies can't afford NOT to attend. Its not just about making a few bucks for them, its about surviving as a company. These small companies depend on this show to get them through the year and without it, they could fold up. They order extra inventory for this show alone and not turning over that inventory could cause them to go bankrupt. As sportsmen, we need to stick together and that includes supporting everyone in the industry. I would have liked to see Todd make a little bit more of a statement as to why he was attending, but I know him well enough to understand why he has to go. Again, I applaud you for championing those that are boycotting, but take a minute and think about the vendors that are still attending and maybe try to understand that they have mouths to feed.
