I've had Monday marked on my calendar for a few weeks now after looking at the weather reports (high of 60 here in MD) and the solunar tables. Supposed to be a great day to hunt and I know there's always big bucks taken right around Halloween. Well, this hurricane is throwing a wrench into that plan. Luckily I will be out tomorrow and Sunday mornings. This is one of just a few Sundays we are allowed to hunt here. I'm hoping that the falling pressure and oncoming storm still keep the deer moving and will make up for what will most likely be an un-huntable early next week. Anybody else going to be effected? What are your thoughts about deer movement before the storm?

I won't be going out here in southern Ohio until next weekend anyway. It was too warm this week and it's nothing but rain and wind this weekend and through next week so I don't see much of a point.

Up here in Central PA, looks like its going to be a wild few days early next week. I was thinking of taking a day next week to hunt, but it looks like I'll be packing it in for the week. 40MPH winds and torrential rains. No thanks.

That's what I'm doing tonight. I don't use it anymore, but I've got 15 bags of pellets for the pellet stove stashed, and I'll be picking up 10 gallons of fuel tonight to keep the generator running. Also gonna make sure the chainsaws are running good and that they are sharp. Going to hunt tomorrow and Sunday morning, hopefully I can stick one before the mess starts.

Guess the power company will be paying me some OT next week. :( I'll be glad when Nov. 3rd gets here so I can start my 2 weeks vacation.

LOL Yeah, that's what Sunday's chores are going to be. Getting the gens and electrical cords up to the house, covering wood, setting up animal shelters and so on. Hopefully it will swing a little wide and we won't get it so bad. We'll see.

I just saw that. It will be interesting. All I know is I'm gonna be out ahead of the storm hoping the deer are too.

I'm leaving for a hunting trip to Ohio on Thursday morning hopefully we still have power here for her and the kids. If not the genny is ready and we are stocked up on essentials. Hopefully they are all wrong and turns right instead of left.

This is going to be a horrible storm for anyone in NYC or on the coast. If im correct this is a full moon weekend so the tides are going to be super high as it is with out the storm. They are saying its going to be almost like the perfect storm again.

It's definitely started. The eastern shore is getting pounded right now with mandatory evacuations already in effect.
