So I found out the other day I got into the police academy which starts 9/24. This means that I will have very little time to go hunting this year. With that being said I was helping my friend unbait his trotline and he suggested we go and check the cameras we set out last night to see if there was any activity. To both of our surprise he had over 400 pictures of deer. We both hurried up and dug through our dressers to find our lightweight hunting clothes. We met back at his house and got up in our stands that our about 70 yards apart at 4:45pm. By 5pm he had a big doe infront of him and I waited to watch him draw back and put her down. Then before I know it I have a doe walking down the trail towards me. It steps out at 15 yards and I put an arrow right behind her shoulder. I look over at him just in time to see him send an arrow into his doe. Some how his doe didn't spook when I shot and he was able to put a kill shot on her at 20 yards. 15 minutes into our bow season and we had both put meat in the freezer! It was one of the coolest hunts I had been apart of! Good luck to everyone this year!
that is awesome I have a set just like that with my buddy and maybe we can do the same thing. Congrats on the police academy that is great I hope that you have a good basic and God bless the brothers in blue
