Just thought I would share a few pics of my favorite early season stand site. I try to pay special attention to the little things like making sure there is enough cover ( not over trimming) and making sure there is a nice clean path for entrance to the stand. This particular stand has been in place for 15 years and I’ve killed lots of deer from it. I know that deer bed within 50 yds in the early season so I make sure to sneak in quietly. Nice. I like the path to the stand. I actually took a push mower to one of my spots and mowed a nice walk to the stand.
Couldn’t tell you. That stand was given to me and it’s been in that tree for 15 years. I can tell you I don’t spend big bucks on tree stands. What I have accumulated over the years are mixed brands of whatever was cheap. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Make sure that stand is safe if it’s been in that tree for 15 years. Your spot looks awesome, good luck this season!
I tried to change it a couple years ago. I couldn’t beat it out of the tree with a sledge hammer. I was going to cut it out with a saws all but decided to leave it be. I’m always hooked from the first step with a lifeline just Incase. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
