Well i just got back from the doctors and i have Osteochondritis Dissecans In My knee. I have to get emergent surgery in my knee and will have to be on crouches for six weeks. So that pretty much keeps me out of the woods until late October, but i will probably hobble my way to the ground blind a couple times. And filming with my brother is going to be put on hold. But I'm trying to be optimistic and at least ill be in the woods at the magically time of the year.

That sucks, but just be patient, you're young and will heal up well. Don't rush it and further the extent of your injury. You have alot of years ahead of you and you don't wan t to shorten that. Good luck!

Hope everything goes well and you heal quickly. I wouldn't worry too much about it, you should have plenty more seasons in your lifetime. ;) Sounds like you're handling it pretty well.

That blows! Good luck with the surgery. This will certainly test your patience and willpower, but take it easy.

That really bites. How did this happen?

I've had 2 knee surgeries but the latest one was Aug. 13th one year. I was still able to hunt but had to put the tree steps closer together for about a month. I was 40 at the time. You are much younger and depending on the severity of your knee, you should heal much faster. Talking from experience, listen to the Dr. and really, take it slow. Save yourself for deer hunting.

    NO FOOTBALL!!!

Sorry to hear that. I hope you heal quickly!

My buddy just had a knee replacement on Monday. He's hoping to get on a boat for some bowfishing (from a chair) two weeks from now. I'm not sure he'll actually be up for that but I have no doubts that he'll be in the deer woods on Oct 1st. (then again he is a nut) :)

    Ouch.. that hurts.

May be a blessing in disguise.. less pressure before the "heat" of things.

From a man who broke his arm right under the shoulder, don't rush. And be patient. It's been 7 weeks since my injury, and I am ALMOST done with physical therapy. Good luck, don't go crazy. 8D

Tuff luck Siman Bro, what a terrible time to have that happen.

The main thing is get healed before trying to do too much. You have way too much life in front of you to mess up a knee right now.

Bummer man, keep your head up though. With how old you are you'll heal pretty fast so I'm guessing you'll be able to get out into the woods before they say you will. They just have to give you extra healing time to cover their own butts. Don't push it too much though, and good luck with the surgery.

That sucks bro! I know how much you were looking forward to this season. Like others said, don't rush it and be sure it heals.
